...And it keeps getting better!

First off, the most exciting news I may possibly have - I am OFFICIALLY a Scentsy Consultant! I am still waiting on my starter kit to arrive but I am SO anxious to start sharing the wonderful things Scentsy has to offer! I never would have thought I would do anything related to sales, but here I am proving myself wrong! Currently I am waiting to hear back if it is okay to have a facebook page dedicated to my Scentsy. If it is okay, I will reactivate the following link:

Also, if you are interesting in looking around to see if you would like to start your new addiction of yummy smell-goods, please follow the following link:

There were a couple things that really caught my attention when deciding to make my first purchase. I for one having children in my home would never want my child being anywhere near a candle! My son would see a candle and go and try and blow it out while singing happy birthday. He doesnt know that lit candles can be dangerous. Well, the consultant who I purchased from reassured me the wax does not get hot enough to burn you, which means if my child somehow managed to reach and touch it, he wouldnt be burned! So, I placed my order and melted the bar in my warmer, and you guessed it! I put my hand in it to see if it was true, lol. Personally I have tried 3 scents so far, and love each one of them! The last thing that really convinced me to want to be apart of Scentsy was when one of the travel tins I had in my office literally helped me be able to breathe! We have a few families of skunks in the nieghborhood by my job and they tend to somehow leave their horrible odors in the building. I had left my tin in my purse and figured I might as well give it a shot to overpower the skunks smell. Within 20 minutes it smelled WONDERFUL! Okay, Im done with my little rampage on what got me started with Scentsy. I just wanted to give those of you who are not sure what the benefits are a look at what made me start using their products! If you have any questions, no matter how weird you think they may be please email me at laurathomas542@gmail.com

On a side note, Nathan has his first Speech Therapy appointment this Friday! I am so excited that this will benefit him in so many ways! He is such a smart little guy, and talks and talks for hours, but it is SO difficult to understand him sometimes! I hope if there is an underlying problem we can start addressing it so he can learn how to communicate with everyone.

Well, this is all for today. I will send you off with some cuteness. . .

Trying New Things (:

Okay, I thought I would be writing on here a little more but it has been a pretty busy couple of weeks! I have been to the LA Zoo, Hiking, seriously contemplating selling Scentsy as a side job and even starting to prepare myself for a 5k coming up in March at Elysian Park near the Dodgers stadium!!

Well, to start off we headed to the LA Zoo a couple of weekends ago with Nathan to let him see the different animals since he has been interested in almost anything with a heartbeat lately. He loved the seal out of all the animals in the beginning. It was probably good for him to see the animals he normally only reads about since his speech is a little behind. After each exibit we went through he got in the habit of going "Bye Seal" "Bye Bear", etc. Just to Nathans luck as we were heading out the park we passed by a bird show. To anyone that doesnt know my son, he is absolutely IN LOVE with birds!! The birds literally flew right in front of our faces and he was all smiles the entire time!

This past weekend we did something a little different than what we would normally be doing. We went for a hike on both Saturday and Sunday at Griffith Park with the kids! We ended up doing a total of about 5 miles for both days which to me was pretty cool since the kids stuck it out both days. Going on this hike got me thinking about doing a marathon of some sort. It turns out there is a 5k race in March and I am going to do everything I can to be ready for this! I have a little less than 2 months to train myself to be ready for this. No matter how ready I am, I am going to do this and complete it whether I am first or last. Besides, you have to start somewhere, right? Here are a couple of pictures from our hike this past weekend. . .

To end this post, here is a little example of Scentsy. This is my new warmer and what it looks like in the dark. Once I start selling this I will be sure to update you all on the different types of delicious smelling things you can buy! :)

The start of something new!

Okay, for those of you who know me, I used to be really into writing. Well, I decided to start back up again with a blog (which I have never done before) about my everyday life. I want to be able to keep track of the new things going on with my family and kids so one day I can look back and be able to remember all the little things that are normally pretty hard to remember! Plus, I figure it wont hurt to get my writing skills back which I am pretty sure I lost in the world of facebook and texting! =D
